The Economic Round Table is composed of members from different sectors of the business community in San Francisco. We have been meeting weekly since 1940 to hear presentations about current issues in business, politics, law, etc. Although the focus of the group is on economic issues, topics are not limited to this field alone.

I am running for Congress in the 9th Congressional District of California. I want a forum for discussion with Alameda County residents and anyone interested in moving our district in a fresh new direction. The days of old ideas are numbered. I believe free-market solutions to both social and economic problems are the way forward; I would like to hear diverse opinions. Anyone interested in the future of Alameda County is welcome to join.

Good news California! At least one legalization initiative will be decided by voters in 2010. The Tax & Regulate Cannabis 2010 initiative has enough signatures to qualify for the November 2010 election. The proposal would legalize possession of up to one ounce of marijuana for California adults 21 and older. Residents could cultivate marijuana gardens up to 25 square feet.
